We started a poem about our culture, ethnicity, and what we identify with. It had a topic and 2 subjects. We also had to include a number of literary devices. The poem has to be a full page long with 40+ lines.

We started reading The Sorrow of War. We read pages 3-8. The character Kien is a soldier on the side of Vietnam. He has seen things and he is one of the only ones out of his original group to survive.
