Learned new vocabulary words and also took notes on informal and formal vocabulary, answered questions about it.

We started reading The Sorrow of War. We read pages 3-8. The character Kien is a soldier on the side of Vietnam. He has seen things and he is one of the only ones out of his original group to survive.
