10-27-23

 We used our knowledge that we learned from the group presentations to do the test. I was confident in my abilities in the test and I completed it quickly. The test was on Antojos, which means craving in Spanish.

 I worked on my literature circle project and actually finished it. I depicted the 2 men with machetes. My group also worked hard and most likely finished theirs too. We also viewed presentations as well. These presentations let us see the story as a whole.

 We started our literature circle roles assignment. I was assigned the illustrator role. Everyone has a different role in the group and over 2 days we will come together to make a presentation.

 We started on the topic of Latinx. We read the story about  Latin women. The authors story involved how they faced discrimination because of their race. We jotted down interesting things, questions, and misconceptions in the story. We also did the same for the Ted talk.

 We viewed more presentations today and took notes on them. We also prepared questions and the presenters provided answers to the best of their knowledge.

 I presented my presentation in front of the class. I also learned about Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador through other peoples slides.

 Worked on the country project, doing more research about religion and food.

 We started our country presentations and we saw examples of how to format and what to put on our presentations.

 We choose a prompt for our literary essay and we started to plan the format of the essay.

 We learned how to format our body paragraphs for our literary essay.
